Disclosure

No fees. Fully disclosed.

lifecovers.com.au is not a licensed financial services provider, an insurance broker, or an insurance issuer. We publish general information only. When you submit an enquiry, we pass your details to a licensed Australian partner practice. Nobody pays lifecovers for that referral: not the partner, not any insurer, and not you.

Our role

What lifecovers does (and does not do)

lifecovers is an editorial team, not a licensed financial services provider. These are the rules we enforce on every page.

We do

  • Publish plain-English general consumer education about Australian life insurance products
  • Use Australian regulatory sources (APRA, ASIC, ATO, Moneysmart, ABS) for material external claims
  • Connect enquiring readers with a single licensed Australian partner practice
  • Disclose how the referral model works on every page
  • We aim to review product and regulatory content at least quarterly, and show a reviewed date where one is maintained

We do not

  • Provide personal financial product advice (we are not licensed under the Corporations Act)
  • Endorse, rank, or score insurance products or insurers
  • Underwrite, issue, or place insurance cover
  • Receive payment from any insurer directly
  • Pass enquiries to a panel, auction, or marketing list

This page is the formal disclosure document for lifecovers. It explains who we are, what we do, what we do not do, how we are paid, what happens to your information, and how to make a complaint. We update this page if any of these things change. The version below was last reviewed on 2026-07-26.

1. Who we are

lifecovers.com.au is operated by TYKHE DIGITAL GROUP PTY LTD trading as Life Covers, ABN 40 636 813 057, registered at 100 Harris St, Pyrmont NSW 2009. Contact: [email protected].

2. What we do

We publish general consumer education about life insurance, income protection, total and permanent disability (TPD) insurance, and trauma insurance for an Australian audience. The content is editorial. It is written by the lifecovers editorial team and reviewed at least quarterly.

3. What we do not do

Life Covers does not hold an Australian financial services licence. Its role is limited to publishing general information and forwarding enquiries as described on this page. We do not:

  • Provide personal financial advice.
  • Endorse products or insurers.
  • Produce ranking lists, insurer scoring tables, or insurer-by-insurer write-ups.
  • Underwrite, issue, or place insurance cover.
  • Receive payment from any insurer directly.

The licensed party in any conversation about cover is the partner practice you speak with, not lifecovers.

4. The referrer relationship

When you submit our enquiry form, we forward the details you provide to a licensed Australian partner practice. The partner contacts you to discuss your situation and to quote cover if you want them to.

We refer enquiries to licensed Australian partner practices; each enquiry goes to a single practice. If our arrangements change, we will update this page before any change takes effect. The partner identifies itself when it contacts you and provides the disclosure documents required for the service it offers.

The partner practice holds an Australian Financial Services Licence or acts as an authorised representative of an AFSL holder, with the authorisations needed to discuss, quote and place cover. They are subject to the duties and disclosure obligations that apply under the Corporations Act and the Insurance Contracts Act.

5. How we are paid

Right now, we are not. lifecovers currently receives no payment of any kind for referrals: no fee or commission from any partner practice, and nothing from any insurer, whether or not you take out cover. The partner practice discloses its own remuneration in the documents it provides. lifecovers currently receives no payment for the referral.

If we ever introduce a referral fee, we will update this page and our sitewide disclosures before the change takes effect.

Under the current arrangements you pay lifecovers nothing: to read, to enquire, or for the callback. Insurance premiums and product costs are separate and are between you, the partner and the insurer.

6. Your information

When you submit an enquiry, we collect:

  • Your name and contact details (email, phone).
  • An age range and postcode.
  • A short note about what you are looking at.

We do not collect health information at enquiry. We do not ask for income, super balance, or banking details. The partner practice asks for any underwriting information directly, with your consent, as part of their own application process.

Your enquiry is sent to a single licensed partner practice. It is not auctioned, not distributed to a panel, and not sold to any third party. The full detail of how we collect, store and share your information sits in the privacy policy.

7. General-information warning

Information on lifecovers.com.au is general in nature. It does not take into account your personal objectives, financial situation, or needs. Before acting on any information from this site, consider whether it is appropriate for your circumstances. If you want personal advice about your situation, the partner practice you speak with after enquiring can provide it.

8. Complaints

If you have a complaint about content on lifecovers, email [email protected]. We acknowledge complaints within two business days and aim to respond substantively within 30 days.

If you have a complaint about the partner practice, the conversation you had with them, or the cover they arranged, contact the partner directly first. The partner is required to have an internal complaints process, and they will provide details of it on request.

If you cannot resolve the complaint with the partner practice, you can escalate it to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA), an external dispute resolution scheme that provides free, independent financial services complaint resolution.

9. Our editorial commitment

The lifecovers editorial team writes the content on this site. Our editorial discipline is to describe attributes rather than score products, to use plain English rather than authority-claiming language, and to keep the licensed conversation with the partner practice. We do not name insurers. The content rules are enforced before any page goes live.

10. Updates and review

We aim to review this disclosure at least quarterly and update it whenever the model, our partner arrangement, or the regulatory framework changes. The version date appears at the top of the page.
